Visitation and funeral services for Earl D. Bayler, 86 of Clay City, will be held at the Hosselton-Bookhout-Engelmeier Funeral Home in Clay City. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.

He was born to Pearley and Emma Gray Bayler, Nov. 15, 1899, in Clay County.

He married Lola Benskin, who died in 1962, and then later married Nellie Wease Pettyjohn, on March 2, 1968, in Clay City. Mr. Bayler was a member of the Harmony Methodist Church and the Clay County Farm Bureau.

He is survived by his wife, Nellie Bayler, of Clay City; one son Dolan Bayler of Clay City; two daughters, Erma Denton of Olney and Agnes Hosselton, of Clay City; and one stepdaughter, Loretta Wilder, of Clay City; six grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 10 step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, parents, one brother, one sister, and one granddaughter.
