Charles E. Jessee, 83, loving husband to Bobbie Janes Jessee, passed away on Friday January 15, 2016 at Essex Nursing Home. He was born to the late Edward and Millie Sparks Jessee in Metcalf County, KY on December 30, 1932.
He was also preceded in death by siblings, Eulis Jessie, Kizzie Gilpin, Ruth Collins and grandson, Donald G. McQueen.
Charles retired from I. E. Dupont, was a member of Virginia Ave United Methodist Church, and was an Army Veteran. He was also former President of the Columbia District United Methodist Men’s Conference Committee, Chairman and Organizer of Trinity United Methodist Men’s Group.
Besides his wife of 62 years he is survived by their children, Judith “Judy” McQueen and Kenneth Jessee (Jana) grandchildren, Joseph A. Jessee, Patricia A. Jacobs (Marcus), Diana E. Tandy (William), Joyanna L. Phelps (Clinton), great-grandchildren, Trinity, Carrington, Tre, Martin, William, Malik, Madison, Devontae, Ty’Ron, William, Jr., Ta’Shawn, Nevaeh, siblings, Arleen Jessee, Edra Nell Collins, John B. Jessee and numerous nieces and nephews.
