Alison went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 8, 2018. She was born on June 9th, 1947 in Lubbock, Texas, to the late Alton and Gloria Blewer. She graduated from Monterey High School in 1965 and attended Texas Tech University from 1965 to 1968. She was a proud member of the Goin Band and Tau Beta Sigma sorority, and a lifelong Texas Tech supporter. Alison graduated from McMurry University in 1968 after marrying and moving to Abilene Texas.
Alison taught school in Abilene and Seguin Texas for several years, taught piano lessons, and worked closely with the Cub Scouts as a den mother and assistant Pack Master.
Alison worked for Bank of America in Seguin Texas for 10 years before moving back to Lubbock and joining American State Bank in 1992. She continued working for the bank as it transitioned to Prosperity Bank in Sept 2012 and remained there until her death . Alison was a lifelong member of Southcrest Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir. She was an avid reader, who loved cooking, needlework, and music.
Alison is preceded in death by her parents Alton and Gloria Blewer, grandparents George and Eula Mae Blewer, Lee Roy Goettsche and Lillie Mae Calhoun, and step mother Helen Blewer.
She is survived by her son Kevin King of Dallas Texas, grandchildren Nathan and Hailey, and step sister Tony Golden of Lubbock.
