DIES AT HER HOME
Mrs. Catherine Phillips. 84, widow
of Stephen Phillips, died at 5 o'clock
Tuesday evening at her home, 83
Lewis street, after a long illness.
Born Nov. 30, 1854, in Lockport,
daughter of Leonard Hlttenmeyer
and Dorothea Schuman Hltten-
meyer, Mrs. Phillips had lived ail her
life to Lockport. She was a lifelong
member of St. Peter's Evangelical
church and was prominent for many
years to the sewing circle there. Her
late husband was a blacksmith at
Wright's Corners and later to Lock-
port
Surviving are two daughters and
one son, Mrs. Hubert A. Werth, town
of Lockport; Mrs. Benjamin A. Rose.
Rochester and George Phillips, at
home; six grandchildren and one
brother, Fred Hlttenmeyer, Lock-
port,
Services will be held Friday after-
noon at 3 o'clock at the Prudden
Funeral home, 343 Genesee street.
The Rev. Herbert L. Siegner. pastor
of St. Peter's church, will officiate.
Burial will be to Cold Springs
