Mary Rockwell, 87

Mary Inez Rockwell, 87, of Mansfield, a former Lucasville resident, died Friday, Sept. 24, 1999, at a Mansfield hospital.

She was born Oct. 7, 1911, in Pike County, a daughter of the late James and Myrtle Vance Havens. She was a homemaker and attended Berean Baptist Church of Mansfield. She was a member of the Stockdale Baptist Church.

Surviving are one son, Steve Rockwell of Mansfield; one sister, Mrs. Willis (Macie) Shumway of Minford; one daughter-in-law; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her husband. Leslie Rockwell, Dec. 4, 1987, whom she married in 1935; one son, Leslie Rockwell; two brothers, Edwin and Clinton Havens; and three sisters, Grace Pelfrey, Georgia Snyder and Helen Havens.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Mansfield, with the Rev. John King officiating, and interment in Owl Creek Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
