Mary Ann Melton, age 84, of Frisco, Texas, passed away on February 21, 2018, in Denton, Texas. She was born on October 14, 1933, in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Margaret (Kircher) and Albert Boeglin. She had four older brothers, Albert, Chuck, Bill and Bob. On July 21, 1953, Mary Ann married Charles Alvin Melton in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Mary Ann is survived by her husband Charlie Melton; two children, daughter Kaye Jean Franks, son-in-law Steve Franks, son Karl Allen Melton, daughter-in-law Suzanne Melton; two grandchildren, Jason Dollgener, Alicia Rogers (husband, Jason) and step-grandchild, Janette Johanson (husband Erik); great-grandchild, Lucius Rogers and three step-great-grandchildren, Ryan, Reese and Rayne Johanson. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her eldest son, Ronald R. Melton, her parents Margaret and Albert Boeglin, and her four brothers. Mary Ann was a loving wife to Charles for 64 years. Together they went from small towns in New Mexico to traveling throughout the world, living on the Caribbean island of Barbados, and then several states in the U.S.A. She made many life-long friends along her journey and touched the lives of all who knew her. Over the years, Mary Ann had lots of creative talents – she loved to sew, she did pottery, made her own personalized cards to send to family and friends, and loved to play Mah Jong. Mary Ann was a wonderful mother to her three children, and a beloved grandmother and great-grandmother. She was also a great mother-in-law and loved them like her own. Her family loved her very much and she will be greatly missed by everyone. A Private Memorial Service will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Frisco Chapel on Saturday, March 3, 2018. Inurnment will be held at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
