1955 obituary. Ralph E. Lombard, 57, employed with the Telephone Co. 40 years, died last night at his residence, 60 Kent St., after a short illness. He was born in Portland, May 6, 1898, son of John and Dora Frazier Lombard. He was educated in Portland schools and was recently a line foreman with the Telephone Co. He was member of the Telephone Pioneers, Warren Philip Lodge, Cumberland Mills, Mizpah Chapter, OES, and Glenwood Square Baptist Church. He is survived by his mother; his widow, Mrs. Bertha Dyer Lombard, two sisters, Mrs. Walter Hood, Portland, and Mrs. Edith Currier, Torrance, Calif., and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3 p. m. Monday at 749 Congress St. Interment will be in Brooklawn Memorial Park.
