Julia M. Karol, 90, of Allentown, passed away Monday, March 5, 2018 in Phoebe Home, Allentown. Julia was predeceased by her husband, Alexander J. Karol, Sr. in 2000. Born in Emmaus, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Meckes. She was a member of St. Paul's R.C. Church, Allentown for many years. Julia's love for gardening, flowers and "yard sale-ing" was only superseded by her love for family.
Survivors: Son, Robert M. Karol and wife Philomena of Raleigh, N.C.; sister, Laura Marshall; daughter-in-law, Lori Karol of Allentown; 4 grandchildren, Alexander J. Karol, III and his wife Tammy of Allentown, Eric Karol and his fiancé Rachel of Pennsburg, Robert J. Karol and his wife Terra of Bremerton, WA, and Cynthia J. Hosseini and her husband Ashkan of Raleigh, N.C.; 4 great-grandchildren, Ashley, Samantha and Joseph Karol and Ari Hosseini. Julia was preceded in death by a son, Alexander J. Karol, Jr.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Friday, March 9, 2018 at St. Paul's R.C. Church, 920 S. 2nd Street, Allentown, where a viewing for family and friends will be held from 9 AM until the service. Interment will follow at St. Mark's Cemetery, Allentown. Arrangements entrusted to the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown.
