Ileen Munford 87, of Idaho Falls, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at the Parkwood Meadows Living Center.
Ileen was born on November 10, 1930 in Cascade, Montana to Leo Edward DeRoche and Gladys Mary Kinghorn DeRoche. She was raised in Lewisville, Clark and Annis areas and attended school in Rigby where she graduated from Rigby High School. On September 10, 1949 she married Jack D. Merrill in Elko, Nevada and later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple in May of 1958. Jack later passed away and Ileen Married Grover Harry Munford in May of 1983 in Elko, Nevada. Her marriage to Grover later ended in divorce.
Ileen worked for many years in potato processing plants and as a custodian at the I.N.L. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in the Primary and Young Women’s organizations. She enjoyed flowers, especially roses, having a pretty yard, traveling, country music and her kids and grandkids.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan Kay (Craig) Fellows, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Kathy A. Merrill of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Karen (John) Cook of Idaho Falls, Idaho, her sons, John D. (Frances) Merrill of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Kim E. (Sherry) Merrill of Idaho Falls, Idaho, a sister Leah Brosie of Idaho Falls Idaho, as well as 11 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Ileen was preceded by her parents Leo and Gladys DeRoche, her husband Jack Merrill, two sons, baby Merrill and Richard Merrill, 3 sisters, and 5 brothers.
Services will be held Saturday March 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel (101 West Main St.). The family will visit with friends and family prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be at the Annis Little Butte Cemetery following the service.
