Norma June Whenry Priester, 88, of Mercer passed away at Avalon Springs in Mercer at 10:22 p.m. Saturday (March 3, 2018).
Norma was born in Washington Township, Lawrence County, on June 29, 1929, to George Whenry and Harriet Arnetta Jenkins Whenry.
She married Elmo Allen Priester on July 13, 1946, and he preceded her in death on July 15, 1996.
Norma was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and working with ceramics.
Survivors include: three sons, Richard M. and wife Sarah Priester of Grove City, William Glenn Priester of Mercer, and Brian C. and wife Patricia Priester of Mercer; two daughters, Tina Y. and husband Kirk D. McClure of Grove City, and Sally M. Poling of Sharon; brother, Richard "Dick" Whenry and wife Marion of Mercer; two sisters, Betty Bell of Grove City and Jane Frankenberg and husband Ray of Grove City; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her husband; two sons, George Allen Priester and Ronald Wayne "Chip" Priester; sister, Vonnie Urey; brothers, Bill "Sonny" Whenry and Dave Whenry; and three grandchildren, Veronica June Priester, Ronald Wayne "Chippy" Priester, Jr., and Joseph Priester.

Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with Rod Burk presiding.
Interment: Crestview Memorial Park, Pine Township.
