Mrs. Virginia Louise Tidwell, 87, of Woodville, Alabama passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Skyline Church of Christ with Mr. Nesbitt Sanford officiating. Burial will follow in Gold Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 9:00 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2018 and 9:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Tidwell is survived by her daughters, Susan (Roger) Allen, Sharon (Ron) Ricker, Judy McBride, Patti Tidwell; son, Roger (Cindy) Tidwell; son-in-law, Terry Wright; grandchildren, Angie (Scott) Scarberry, Sonya (Steve) McKee, Derek (Rebecca) Allen, Heather (Slade) Bellomy, Erin (Justin) Watwood, Laura (Tracy) Guthrie, Haley (Chris) Epps, Kaleb (Kami) Wright, Kimberly (Blake) Mears, Noah Tidwell, Abby Tidwell; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Viola Manning, Doris (Anthony) Waldrop; brother, Rupert Shelton; and sister-in-law, Rhodaphine Shelton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Tidwell; daughter, Barbara Wright; son, Tracy Tidwell; parents, Noah and Eva Shelton; brothers, Hugh Shelton, Tommy H. Shelton; and sister, Annie Webb.
