George W. Moomey, 79 of 449 W. 23rd St., died Friday afternoon at a local nursing home.
Born in Holland, Moomey lived in the Holland area most of his life. He formerly worked for Bohn Aluminum Company of Holland and the West Michigan Furniture Company. he retired several years ago.
He is survived by three sons, Eugene, George and William of Holland, a daughter, Mrs. Julius (Evelyn) Brower of Holland; three step-sons, Robert Johnston of Holland, Laverne Johnston of South Lyons, Theodore Johnston of Lowell; a step-daughter, Mrs. Richard (Rosetta) Aman of Holland; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Ainsworth of Grand Rapids, Mrs Henrietta Coxx of Holland; a sister in-law, Mrs John Moomey of Grand Rapids; 26 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at the Dykstra Northwood Chapel. Rev. Ralph houston will officiate. Burial is at North Holland Cemetery.
