Floyd was employed by Ridg-U-Rak in North East for 40 years. He was also a driver for Solvent Enterprises. Floyd enjoyed reading his Bible, collecting toy cars, and going to flea markets.
He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Doug Schneider; and brother-in-law, William Legatzke.
Floyd is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sharon Legatzke Thompson; children, Robert Thompson of Erie, Tammy Schneider of Millcreek, Kevin Thompson of North East, and Helen Garfield (Timothy) of North East; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Interment in Grahamville Cemetery.
