Former Resident of Two Creeks Dies At Two Rivres
TWO RIVERS (Special)—Mrs. Mary Schmidt, 80, a pioneer resident of the town of
Two Creeks, and widow of George Schmidt, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs.
Mary Geerdts, 1924 Roosevelt avenue a 10:20 this morning. She had been ill for
the last three months.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the C. J. Jansky
chapel, the Rev. W. G. Haase, pastor of St. John’s Lutheran church officiating.
Interment will be in Pioneers’ Rest cemetery.
Mr. Schmidt died eight years ago. The couple lived on a farm in the town of Two
Creeks. Mrs. Schmidt lived there up to six years ago.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Mary Geerdts of this city, Mrs. Emil Jonas
of the town of Two Creeks, and Mrs. Elwood Burmeister of this city, five grand-
children and one great-grandchildren.
