Mr. Ryan was born on September 1, 1934 in Bisbee, Arizona, the son of Jack Hollie Ryan and Mable Martin Ryan.
He attended schools in Texas and graduated from San Angelo Central High School with the Class of 1952. He also attended college for one year.
Mr. Ryan served in the United States Navy as a communications officer during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in 1960.
He was a supervisor at General Chemical and formerly Allied Chemical for twenty-eight years, retiring in 1994. He moved to Eden, Wyoming in 1977 and was the owner-operator of Ryan Farm.
Mr. Ryan enjoyed farming, hunting, and fishing which were his most enjoyable pastimes. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Survivors include three sons, Tom (Janelle) Myrick, Robert (Jalynn) Ryan, and Jack (Kimberly) Ryan; one daughter, Dodey (Robert) Morgan; one brother, David (Mary) Ryan; two sisters, Nancy Ryan and Bonnie (Bob) Englehart; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews,.
Mr. Ryan was preceded in death by his parents, wife Velma "Faye" Ryan, and two grandsons, Robert Glenn Ryan Jr. and Shane Oliver.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Vase Funeral Home, 154 Elk Street, Rock Springs, Wyoming. Military graveside and interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel one hour prior to funeral services.
