Ovid was the son of Lutie Ralph Reed and Gertie McThompson Reed. He married Ethelene Virginia Kauffman and they had two children Linda Sue and Robert Michael Reed.

Ovid had a brother Onel and a brother Larry Roger b. May 1939. He had two sisters Norma Jean b. Nov. 12, 1926 and Nancy Ann b. Aug 9, 1935. Norma married Darrel Ivins. Darrell Dwight was born Mar. 3, 1925 in Danvers, ILL and d. Feb. 1, 2013 in Windsor, CO. He is FAG #104497598. Nancy married Kenneth Witzig in Danvers, Ill. Kenneth L. Witzig was born Apr. 11, 1936.

Ovid and his wife lived in FL for many years before they passed away. I am unsure if he was buried.
