Mrs. Grace Schmidt, 81, of 2105 Jefferson St., Two Rivers, died Saturday night at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.

Funeral services were held at 2 pm. Tuesday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. The Rev. Edward Stelter officiated and burial was in Pioneer Rest Cemetery, Two Rivers.

Mrs. Schmidt, nee Grace Schmidt, was born March 31, 1895, daughter of the late Charles and Wilhelmina Bergeline Schmidt. She was married to Henry C. Schmidt June 18, 1925, at Manitowoc. The couple farmed in the Town of Two Rivers until 1951, retired and moved to Two Rivers. He preceded her in death in 1967.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Adele Riha and Mrs. Harvey (Mildred) Glaser, of Two Rivers and four grandchildren.

Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church.

MARRIAGE OF HENRY/GRACE SCHMIDT

The marriage of Miss Grace Schmidt of Manitowoc, daughter of Mrs. Minnie Schmidt of Algoma and Henry Schmidt Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Hy Schmidt of the Town of Two Rivers, took place at Manitowoc Wednesday, Rev. Karl Machmiller performing the ceremony at the German Lutheran parsonage. Misses Clara and Henriette Schmidt, sisters of the groom and Andrew and Roland Bethke, cousins of the bride were the attending couples.

A wedding dinner was served at Mr. Geer's residence on North 7th Street, Manitowoc for whom the bride and her mother have been housekeepers. Immediately after the dinner, Mr. and Mrs. Schmidt left on a wedding trip to Reading, Pa., New York and Washington D.C. They expect to be gone for about six weeks and upon their return will reside on the groom's farm in the Town of Two Rivers.
