Early Life: Erma was born April 5, 1928, in Mount Pleasant, Utah, to Archibald Eckersell Darley and LaVerne Hansen Darley. In 1946, Erma graduated from Davis High School in Kaysville, Utah.
Life’s Work | Service | Interests: On December 23, 1960, she married Iran Roy Hill in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Erma also graduated from the University of Utah in 1950 with a B.S. degree in elementary education, and from the Brigham Young University in 1959 with a master's degree in education. She taught special education reading for 29 years in the Provo and Orem School Districts before retiring. Erma served three missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints: the Southwest Indian Mission from 1952 to 1954, the Germanic Area Building Mission, with Roy, from 1962 to 1965, and the Family History Mission from 1997 to 1998 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was always active in the LDS Church and served in many callings. Erma Darley Hill, of Provo, Utah, passed away February 24, 2018. She was 89.
Survived By: and her two sons: Archie Kurt Hill, Las Vegas, NV; and Roy Eugene Hill, Portland OR; two grandsons: Dustin and Kory Hill; five great-grandchildren: Kory Lee, Dylan, Sophia, Jason and Marla; and her sister, Donna Lucille Darley, Bedford, MA.
