David V. Roy, 61, Russell Springs, KY, formerly of Columbia (1956-2018)
He was born July 24, 1956 in Covington, Kenton County, KY. He was the son of the late James & Thelma Nora Wilson Roy. He died Thursday, February 22, 2018, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 61 years, six months, and 29 days.
Besides his parents, he was precegded in death by his son James David "Davie" Roy on August 20, 2003.
He is survived by:
His wife: Anita Burton Roy of Russell Springs, KY
One daughter: Christy (Brad) Burton of Columbia, KY
Two sisters: Diane (Howard) Foster of Columbia, KY; and Kathy (Rick) Pickens of Columbia, KY
Four grandchildren: Mackenzie Bennett, Malanna Burton, Maria Burton, and Mason Burton
Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of friends
David was a member of the 3 Trees Church where he served as a sound technician. He was a teacher's aid at Russell County High School and the owner of Strings & Things Music Center. He was a bass guitar player and a classic car enthusiast.
