In her Journeys she would meet life long friends she would stay in contact with for her entire life. She was dignified and very much a lady. Her British accent along with a personality and smile would light up a room. Her life stories were many, from living under the family staircase as a young girl while the Germans bombed Northampton to a date with heartthrob singer Johnny Ray and to a picture of her dancing in the town square celebrating Victory Day on the cover of Life Magazine.
In 1976 she met and fell in love and later married John Miller a handsome young sailor that would remain by her side for the rest of her life. In 1981 she started work as Secretary of Anderson Parks and Recreation where she loved the community and the people she worked with, making many friends.
