Rosetta May (Bassett) Miller

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Rosetta has left us and joined her family in Heaven. Rosetta was born December 22nd 1928 in Northampton England to Fred and Anne Andrew. She passed February 12th 2018 surrounded by her loving Husband John along with family and friends.

After graduating college and while working in Northampton she met Raymond Bassett a handsome young American soldier, they were wed in England in 1954 and had three children, Lorraine, Glenn and Andrew. Being active Military they traveled and lived throughout England and the United States before settling down in Anderson California in 1971. In her Journeys she would meet life long friends she would stay in contact with for her entire life. She was dignified and very much a lady. Her British accent along with a personality and smile would light up a room. Her life stories were many, from living under the family staircase as a young girl while the Germans bombed Northampton to a date with heartthrob singer Johnny Ray and to a picture of her dancing in the town square celebrating Victory Day on the cover of Life Magazine.

In 1976 she met and fell in love and later married John Miller a handsome young sailor that would remain by her side for the rest of her life. In 1981 she started work as Secretary of Anderson Parks and Recreation where she loved the community and the people she worked with, making many friends. She would stay until retirement in 2000 after receiving a City Counsel Resolution in her name for appreciation, dedication and achievement. She remained active in her and Johns Trucking Business while enjoying traveling and showing her English family the Western United States. She loved cooking her English dishes, a cup of tea, the seaside, the Pittsburg Steelers, Tennis, Disneyland and most of all spending time with her family.

She will be forever missed by her Husband John Miller (Anderson) her Daughter Lorraine Martindale(Anderson) Sons Glenn Bassett, Wife Becky(Cottonwood) Andrew Bassett, Wife Dianne (Anderson) Sister Sheila Blackwell(England)Grandchildren; Travis Bassett, Brittany Hodges, Bryce Bassett, Whitney Bassett, Austin Bassett; Great Grandchildren; Tallen Hodges, Cayson Bassett along with all her extended family and friends all over the world.
