Born on February 8, 1956 in Herkimer, N.Y. he was the son of the late Donald and Helen Marley North.
John was raised and educated in Herkimer, he served in the United States Navy and then moved to the Albany area.
He worked for many years in telecommunications, working for several financial institutions including Key Bank, Fleet Bank and Bank of America.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Heavey North; his two children, Christina North of Iowa City, Iowa and Christopher J. "CJ" North of Albany; his five siblings, Connie North, Stephen (Elizabeth) North, Patricia (Peter) Templeton, Thomas (Debra) North, and Peter (Jane) North; his brother-in-law, Christopher (Michelle) Heavey; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Burial will follow at Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
