Samantha Nadine Adair Stanford Smith, 97, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Diversicare in Ripley. She was born November 8, 1920 to the late Ben and Jenny Bishop Adair. She was a homemaker and a member of Keownville Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be 1:00p.m. Monday, February 26, 2018 at United Funeral Service with Rev. Bobby Cobb and Rev. J.R. Ray officiating. Burial will be at Keownville Cemetery. United Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.

She is survived by two daughters, Yvonne Tate of New Albany and Jennie Mae Baker (Carroll) of Pontotoc; three sons, William Stanford, Johnny Stanford (Kay) and James Stanford, all of New Albany; a daughter-in-law, Theresa Stanford Nichols (Darrell); twelve grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Smith; a son, Mike Stanford; two sisters and four brothers.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Tate, Curtis Tate, Johnny Pluck, Whit Morris, Scott Leach, Tony Baker, Perry Michael Stanford and Liddell Stanford. Honorary pallbearers will be the devoted and caring doctors and staff of Wing D of Diversicare in Ripley.

Visitation will be today from 10:00a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
