Warren E. “Warren Eddie” Carbaugh, 79, of McSherrystown, entered into God’s eternal care on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the Hanover Hospital. He was the husband of Geraldine C. “Geri” (Lawrence) Carbaugh to whom he was married 58 years. Born March 1, 1938 in Hanover, he was the son of the late Warren F. and Loretta C. (Mattingly) Carbaugh. Warren was a 1956 graduate of Delone Catholic High School, McSherrystown and a lifelong machinist/supervisor and Tool and Dye Maker for several companies in the Hanover, York and Lancaster areas. He was a member of Annunciation BVM Catholic Church, McSherrystown where he served as a Eucharistic Minister for over 25 years, served on the Parish Council and assisted in counting the collections for many years, he was also a member of the McSherrystown Knights of Columbus, McSherrystown Home Association and the Bonneauville CWV. Warren in his early years coached Little League baseball and was a cub master for Pack 107. Warren always enjoyed spending time with his family and friends especially his many grandchildren. Surviving in addition to his wife are eight children; Anthony Carbaugh of Hanover, Scott Carbaugh and wife Karen of New Philadelphia, OH, Robert Carbaugh and wife Jill of Chesapeake, VA, Lisa Kauffman and husband Jeffrey of New Oxford, Debra Adams and husband Michael of Petersburg, OH, Joseph Carbaugh and wife Michele of Abbottstown, Christopher Carbaugh and wife Rebecca of New Oxford and Shawn Carbaugh of McSherrystown, 26 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, two sisters; Dolores Sneeringer and Geneva Epley both of Hanover. He was preceded in death by two brothers; Francis and Philip Carbaugh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Monday, February 26, 2018 at Annunciation BVM Catholic Church, McSherrystown with Rev. Charles L. Persing as celebrant. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
