Philip B "Flip" carbaugh, 67, formerly of Hanover, entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 4, 2006, at Prince George's Center Hospital in Cheverly, Md. Phil was the loving husband of Rose (Quade) Carbaugh to whom he had been married to for 20 years.
Born May 19, 1939, in Hanover, he was the son of the late Warren F. and Loretta A. (Mattingly) Carbaugh.
He attended Delone Catholic High School. Phil was a talented welder by trade, having been employed at Cole Steel Corp. of York, before moving to Temple Hill, Md., where he was employed as a welder for R&R Cycle. He then started his own buisness, Phil's Weld Shop, whee he stayed until his retirement last year.
Besides his wife, Rose, he is survived by three sons, Philip A. and wife Kandi, Timothy B. all of New Oxford, and Andrew C. and wife, Alita, of Brinton, Va. He was predeceased by a daughter, Holly F. Carbaugh. Also surviving are his sisters, Delores H. Sneeringer and Geneva "Peach" Eply, both of Hanover; and a brother, Warren E., of McSherrystown. He was predeceased by his brother, Francis L., who passed from this life in 2004. He also has many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Lee Funeral Home, Clinton Md. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
