Marjorie Beason Bostic, age 93, of Cliffside, died Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at the Oakland Living Center.

Born September 5, 1924, in Cleveland County, NC, a daughter of the late Grady Lee Beason (1890–1966) and Hattie Ethel Ramsey Beason (1895–1935); wife of the late Jack Daniel Bostic (1923–1994) for 53 years.

A graduate of Mooresboro High School, worked for Cone Mills for 40 years before retirement, a faithful, dedicated, and longtime member of Cliffside Baptist Church; she found her life's joy in spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory include two sons, Daniel S. Bostic (Dianne) and Johnny R. Bostic (Sylvia); daughter, Joyce B. Penley; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Also preceded in death by brothers, John R. Beason (1917–1979), William Joseph Beason (1917–1921), Jack D. Beason (1921–1988), Champ Ray Beason (1922–2009), and Sammy Grady Beason (1934–1934); sisters, Louise Beason Greene (1915-1995), Lee Ethel Beason Scruggs (1914–1995), and Beth Beason Greene (1927–2011); and one infant granddaughter, Kelly Janette Bostic.

The funeral service was conducted at 4:00 pm, Friday, February 23, 2018, at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mike Elgin officiating; interment in Cliffside Cemetery.

The family received friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
