Doris Deweese Coleman, age 84, of Morgantown, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2018 at the Morgantown Care & Rehab. She was born in Butler County, Ky. on November 12, 1933 to the late Corbie Deweese and Minnie Wilson Deweese. She was a member of Cool Springs General Baptist Church, loved children and volunteered in the church nursery. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband William David Coleman; brothers Corbie Deweese Jr., Kenneth & Rollie Deweese and sister Dorene Duskey.

Doris is survivedby her children- Sherry Coleman Webster (Poochy Rock) of Morgantown, Michael David Coleman (Dwaynetta) of Morgantown; grandchildren Jacob Hall (Shanna) of Morgantown, Hollie Coleman of Morgantown; one great grandson; Wick Hall of Morgantown; brothers Ed Deweese, Bobby Deweese (Linda), Danny Deweese (Lorei) all of Morgantown; one sister Ruth Daugherty of Morgantown.
The funeral service will be held at Cool Springs General Baptist Church on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 1 p.m. with Bro. David Youngblood officiating. Burial will follow in the Cool Springs Cemetery. Visitationwill be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 from 5:30-8:00 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home and Thursday she will lie in state at Cool Springs General Baptist from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, please give to Gideon's International, Morgantown Care and Rehab Entertainment Fund or Morgantown Mission.
