William David Coleman, 85, of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. Mr. Coleman was born November 22, 1927, in Butler Co. to the late Estill Coleman and Maudie Cardwell Coleman. He was a member and Deacon of Cool Springs General Baptist Church and Cassia Lodge 272 and a Shriner. He was also a Korean War Veteran. David was the co-owner of Coleman Brothers Motors which has been open for the past 60 years. He was preceded in death by his parents.
William David is survived by his wife of 58 years, Doris Coleman, one daughter: Sherry Hall and husband Eddie of Morgantown, one son Michael David Coleman of Morgantown. Two Grandchildren: Jacob Hall and wife Shanna and Hollie Coleman all of Morgantown, sister Myrl Burden of Morgantown, three brothers: Glendel Coleman and wife Barbara of Morgantown, Denzil Coleman and wife Christine of Morgantown, Mac Coleman and wife Jeanette of Morgantown.
Funeral Service will be held at Cool Springs General Baptist Church on Thursday, February 7 at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. David Youngblood and Bro. Autrey Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Cool Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home. He will lie in state from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at Cool Springs General Baptist Church. A Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday night at the funeral home.
