O.L. and Ann Lee Hansen
1924 - 2018
O.L. and Ann Lee Hansen went to be with the Lord within a week of each other on January 14 and January 20, 2018, after 72 years of marriage. O.L., "Val", was born in 1924 in Riverton, Utah to Orson J. and Gladys (Pierson) Hansen. He was a WWII Veteran serving as a Merchant Marine. As a manager for Woolworth Department Store for over 18 years, he found his home in Knoxville and eventually opened Family Pantry Markets with his partner and served as VP of Operations for 15 years. Ann was born in 1924 in Lerona, West Virginia to John Floyd and Della (Farley) Thompson. She was a loving and nurturing homemaker and later became an LPN. She will always be remembered for putting others first. Val and Ann were longtime members of Fountain City United Methodist Church, where they served in various capacities over the years. OL served there as the Chairman of Finance for several years. They were also active supporters of Knox County Association of Retarded Citizens. OL served as treasurer there for several years. They had moved to Bonita Springs, Florida in the fall to be close to family. They leave a legacy of integrity, love and faith.

Val and Ann were preceded in death by their beloved daughter, Brenda Lee Hansen. Ann was also predeceased by brothers, Herschel Boud Thompson, Jesse Harold Thompson, Nathan Thompson, John Buck Thompson; and sisters, Rebecca Thompson, Burnace Blair Thompson, and Ruby Imogene Thompson Anders. They are survived and will be deeply missed by their devoted son, Charles "Charley" Lund Hansen and wife Deloris of Bonita Springs, FL; grandchildren, Eric Anthony Hansen, Jacob Lee Wright of Fredericksburg, VA; great-grandchild, Erin Lynn Grace Hansen; siblings, Robert Lavar Hansen of Morgan, UT, Mary "Jackie" Carol Thompson Pritchett of Fairlawn, VA; and other extended family and friends.

A Memorial Service is planned for Saturday, February 24th at 11 am at Fountain City United Methodist Church. A Reception will follow from 12-2pm. A Private Family Interment at Caledonia Cemetery is February 26th at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to ARC Knox County, 3000 N.
