STERLING – Nancy Shipp, age 81, died Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Rock River Valley Hospice and Home, Sterling.

Nancy was born on November 4, 1936 the daughter of Arthur and Irma (Atherton) Crofton. She married E. Donald Shipp on November 24, 1955 in Sterling. He died in February of 1990. Nancy was a homemaker.

Survivors include, two daughters, Chris (Mike) Kuelper of Rock Falls and Cathy Shipp of Sterling; five sons, Martin (Lynn) Shipp of Raleigh, N.C., Earl (Margaret) Shipp of Sabino, Ohio, Thomas (Teresa) Shipp of Prophetstown, Lee Shipp of Sterling and Adam Shipp of Coralville, Iowa; three sisters, Sherry Subia of Redondo Beach, Calif., Debbie Emmert of Lake Mary, Fla. and Dianne (Steve) Gunderson of Sterling; one brother, David (Sandy) Crofton of Huntington Beach, Calif.; eleven grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 10-11:00 AM Friday, February 23, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Sterling. Memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM with Reverend Jack Smith officiating. Private family burial will be at a later date in Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling. Arrangements were completed by the McDonald Funeral Home, Rock Falls.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
