Louis A. Tjaden
Hudson - The private funeral of Louis A. Tjaden, 86, of 312 S. Broadway St, Hudson, a longtime farmer, will be Saturday at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington.
The Rev. Carl H. Miller will officiate. Mr Tjaden was cremated. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens.
There will be no visitation. East Lawn-Brady Funeral Home, Bloomington, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr Tjaden died at 6:53 p.m. Wednesday, (Aug. 19, 1992) at BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal.
He was born July 1, 1906, in Lowpoint, a son of Harm and Hannah Woltzen Tjaden. He married Violet M. Kelsey on Dec. 26, 1929 in Benson. She died Feb. 18, 1989.
Surviving are a son, Don, Hudson; a brother, Ted, Roanoke; two sisters, Fanny Hansen, Streator, and Pearl Kelsey, Hudson; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Mr Tjaden farmed most of his life in the McLean County area and did farm custom work. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomington.
Memorials may be made to the El Paso Fire and Rescue Squad.
