DEATH OF MRS. B. R. BOYD

The death of Mrs. Elizabeth (Jerome) Boyd, wife of Bennett R. Boyd, which occurred Saturday afternoon, the 19th inst., was a great surprise to her neighbors and friends. Mrs. Boyd was in her usual health until the Saturday before her death, when she complained of sore throat, which soon developed into a pure case of tonsolitis. Soon after she was placed under the good care of Miss Halcyon Kudr, who recently graduated from the Homeopathic hospital at Rochester, with Dr. Richmond as the attending physician. Her case soon developed a combination of diseases, which, in spite of the best of care, resulted fatally. In fact, she passed away at a time when her friends supposed her to be on the road to recovery. Mrs. Boyd was the third daughter of the late John and Mary Jerome, formerly of Livonia but later of Conesus. She was born in Livonia Nov. 30, 1846 and when her parents moved to Conesus she came with them, and was married to Mr. Boyd July 1st, 1866. Their daughter, Mrs. Mary Stevens, an only child, died Aug. 3, 1895, leaving a little boy, who has always lived with his grandparents. She is also survived by four brother, and two sisters, James Jerome of Livonia, George, Albert, William, Mrs. Hiram McNinch and Mrs. George Alger of Conesus, and all sincerely mourn her loss. The funeral services were largely attended Monday afternoon at her late home, the. Rev. Mr. Dallman of South Livonia officiating. Mr. Boyd will have the sympathy of the entire community in the loss of his wife, and he wishes to express his gratitude to those whose assistance was given in his time of need.
