The Morning Journal, Lisbon OH, Monday 11 April 1977, page 6 - LISBON - Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday from the Eells-Leggett Funeral Home for THELMA MAE EELS, 69, of 7905 St. Rt. 45, Lisbon, who died at 3:30 a.m. Sunday at her residence. She had been in ill health since September 1976. She was born April 25, 1907 in Lisbon a daughter of ROY and MAYME HENDERSON ALDRIDGE. She had resided in Lisbon her entire lifetime. She had worked for 26 years as a bookkeeper at the Lisbon Branch of Ohio Edison, retiring in 1953. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Lisbon, where she taught a Sunday School Class for 21 years; a member of the May Pritchard Group of the a member of the church choir and a member of the T.O.C. Club of the Church. She was a member of the Lisbon Branch of the Community Hospital Auxiliary. She leaves her widower, PAUL K. EELLS, whom she married Nov. 18, 1942. The Rev. John R. Owen, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, Lisbon, will officiate. Burial will be in the Lisbon Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
