Learned, Miss., Jan. 26 - Lieut. R. P. Phipps is in receipt of a telephone message from Capt. A. L. Chapman, of the Utica Volunteers, informing him of the death of his brother Willie, which occurred at the home of their mother in Utica. He was buried in the Utica cemetery, with military honors. He belonged to Company D, Utica Volunteers.
Capt. Chapman and mother have the sympathy of this community in the loss of a noble brother and son.
