Janice Burdette Wise, 82, of Smiths Station, AL passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at her home.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm EST, on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus, GA. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm EST at Vance Memorial Chapel, Phenix City, AL
.
Mrs. Wise was born May 5, 1935 in Ronceverte, West Virginia, daughter of the late Samuel Burdette and Alaieen Huchins Burdette. She worked for the Health Department in Columbus, GA for many years.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James Lee Taylor; sisters, Betty Hedrick and Nellie Gilchist.
She is survived by daughters, Brenda Estes of Smiths Station, AL and Linda Roberts of Pensacola, FL; a sister, Mary Alice Weikle of West Virginia; a brother, William Burdette of North Carolina; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; many extended family and friends.
