Melvin Edward Hall, of Elba, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018 with his family by his side. He was 91.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise. Burial will follow in Wise Mill Assembly of God Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday beginning at 1:00 and continuing until service time.

Melvin was born October 29, 1926, in Coffee County, to the late Quiller J. Hall and Etta Jane Chapman Hall. For 26 years, he supported his family as a poultry farmer. He came to the Lord late in life, but truly loved Him and loved providing for his family.

In addition to his parents, his daughter, Elaine Cartland (Joe), and his son, Ronny Hall (Magalene), preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Edith “Mae” Odom Hall of Elba; three children: Larry Hall of Dothan, Joe Hall (Debbie) of Elba, and Doris Jane Kemp (Tony) of Dothan; brother, Myron Hall (Mary) of Mobile; sister, Gladys Parrish of Phenix City; four grandchildren: Greg Banach (Julie) of Montgomery, Daniel Banach of Prattville, Jamie Hall (Kimberly) of New Orleans, LA, and Kristie Hall of Elba; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
