Minden, LA - Susan Behrman Lowry Preston, passed away on February 13th, 2018 in Minden, La. Susan was born November 28, 1946 in Dallas, Texas to Maurine and Hubert Behrman.
She graduated from Highland Park High School in Dallas, Texas. She moved to Shreveport and attended Centenary College. She married Edward Hughes Lowry while attending Centenary and moved to Minden and shortly after had her two children Leslie and Jeff.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents Maurine and Hubert Behrman, her late husband Edward Hughes Lowry, and her son, Jeffrey Lane Lowry. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Jim Preston, daughter Leslie Lowry Cole, son-in-law Gary Cole, grandchildren Matthew and Connor Cole. Melissa Preston, Michael Blair, and granddaughter Rowen Blair. Erik Preston, Bettie Preston, and grandchildren Troy, Mason, and Avery Preston.
Susan was a realtor at LA Realty where she loved selling real estate and being with her friends. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Minden and loved the music and played the hand bells for many years. She was an avid sports fan and followed tennis and football on a regular basis. But most of all she loved her friends and family.
The service will be held at The First United Methodist Church in Minden at 11:00 Friday, February 16, 2018. The burial will follow the service at Minden Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or donor's choice.
