Merle Bowe McAllister, 96, much loved mother of Guy W. Bowe, Jeffrey P. Bowe and Brenda B. Sebring, died peacefully Sunday at Providence Place, Pottsville, surrounded by her family and closest friends.
She graduated from the University of Alabama in 1943. Merle loved bridge, enameling and painting, golfing and was a superb cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband and father her children, the Honorable Guy A. Bowe Jr. in 1983. She lost her son, Guy, in 1988.
She is survived by her son, Jeffrey and his wife, Rea, Hometown, and their children, Guy and his wife, Katie, Alexandria, Va.; Bergen and her husband, Eric Dougherty, Philadelphia; her daughter, Brenda and her husband, Barry L. Sebring, Greensburg, and their children, Janell Khamvongsa, Las Vegas, and Daryl L. Sebring and his wife, Karrie, Greensburg; great-grandchildren, Jezalyn Garcia, Joshua Khamvongsa, MacKenzie Khamvongsa, Khaely Khamvongsa, Troy Sebring and Katelyn Sebring.
