Marjorie Lee Foster Allen, 77, of Highway 150 South, died Sunday, Aug. 14, 2005, at Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Reeds Baptist Church, where she was a member, by the Rev. Ray Howell IV. Mrs. Allen was born Oct. 20, 1927, in the Reeds Community to Loyd Tilman Foster and Louise McMahan Foster. She was a graduate of Reeds High School and Ashmore Business College. She retired from the Davidson County Home Extension Office as secretary, and was a former leader of the Churchland 4-H Club for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents a granddaughter, Carly Del Allen two sisters, Geraldine Foster Leonard and Carolyn Foster Smith and one brother, Charles Franklin Foster. Surviving are her husband, William "Bill" or "Red" Monroe Allen of the home a daughter, Karen Lee Allen of Churchland two sons, David Neal Allen of the home and Dale M. Allen and wife, Tammy, of Reeds three sisters, Elizabeth Foster Miller and husband, Fred, of Rocky Mount, Nancy Foster Trollinger and husband, Chubby, of Tyro and Edith Foster Baxter and husband, Bill, of Roswell, Ga. two grandchildren, Jessica Leigh Hill and Chelsea Nicole Hill and a sister in-law, Alice Foster of Lexington.
