Marjorie J. Griffin

Marge passed away peacefully January 16, age 95, from a long struggle with Alzheimer's leading to Pneumonia. Born April 25, 1922, in Los Angeles, pre-deceased by her parents, Halbert and Mabel Johnson, and her beloved husband, Roy F. Griffin. Marjorie leaves two daughters, Janice Seaman (Roger), and Ginny Millhone (John). She was blessed with grandchildren Jeffrey Seaman, Joel Seaman (Melysah), James Seaman (Tami), Angela Zimmer (Kurt), Robert Spitz (Christy), and Sarah Benstead (Joe). Grandma Margie loved having visits with her 14 great-grandchildren who always brought a smile to her face. She will be greatly missed!

She was married in 1942 to Roy, the true love of her life. She was gifted with a beautiful soprano singing voice, and created lovely oil and pastel paintings. We have wonderful memories of her playing the piano, and her love of classical and Broadway musicals.

Marge and Roy moved frequently with his career with the CHP, and she created lovely gardens in each home. Prior to retirement, Marge worked as a Legal Secretary. She loved to fish alongside Roy in many trout streams and mountain lakes. She was a woman of faith, so we have the hope of seeing her again, perhaps even hearing her beautiful soprano voice in Heaven.

Per Marge's request, there will be no formal services. Her remains will be placed with Roy's, at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon.

Any donations may be made in her name to The CAHP Widows and Orphans' Trust Fund, or Sutter Care at Home Hospice of Roseville.
