Maria (Chonita) Lucero, age 97, passed away Friday, February 9, 2018. She was born in Corrales, NM on April 30, 1920, to Guadalupe and Rita Armijo.

She was married to Ramon G. Lucero in 1940 and enjoyed 77 years of marriage. She attended Our Lady of Sorrows School in Bernalillo, NM.

She was preceded in death by her parents Guadalupe Armijo and Rita Martinez, son Jimmy and Ricky Lucero, brothers Frank, Uvaldo, Cipie, Antonio, David, Clyde and Jimmy Armijo, sisters Albinita Lucero, Dora Gurule and Maria Armijo.

Maria is survived by daughter, Darlene Espinosa (Tony), sons Raymond Lucero (Annabelle), Charlie Lucero (Lillian), and Daniel Lucero (Michelle) of Albuquerque, NM. She has 16 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Maria was full of life and enjoyed Nativity of the B.U.M organization.

Services will be held on February 13th, 2018, at Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary Church at 9502 4th Street NW 87114, Rosary will be held at 8:00am and Mass to follow at 9:00. Interment to follow at, Vista Verde Memorial Park
