Born May 9, 1935, she was the daughter of Ralph and Dorothy (Engelhardt) Brown. Throughout her life, Ruth Ann was employed at many various positions, most notably as church secretary at the Danville Church of Christ for many years. She was a member of the Central Christian Church, and was very active in church activities throughout most of her lifetime. She enjoyed singing in the choir, and participated in many Danville community choir events. She was a dedicated pianist and occasional organist as well. She enjoyed sewing, crochet, puzzles, and creating baby blankets for newborns, but was also famous for her potato salad and cinnamon rolls.
Ruth Ann was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend that will be missed by many.
Married 61 years February 2, she is survived by her husband Eugene Woods of Danville, her children; Yvonne (Larry) Clutter of Gambier, Greg (Tanya) Woods of Mount Vernon, and RaeJean (Arron) Clark of Sedalia, CO, grandchildren; Rodney (Krista) Clutter, Kelly (Jon) Rush, Timothy (Ashley) Clutter, Daniel (Ciera) Woods, Nick (Kristen) Woods, Brennan (Christina) Woods, and Olivia and Zoeley Clark, 13 great grandchildren, a brother, Charles L. Brown of Mount Vernon, several nephews, and one niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A celebration of Ruth Ann's life will take place at 10:30 a.m. Monday February 12, at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Ken Springer and Andy Beatty will officiate. Burial will follow in Workman Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 4-7 Sunday evening.
