Mr. Willie Howard Hogan was born August 24, 1951, to Willie and Ida Mae Hogan in Rose Hill, Mississippi. He graduated from Heidelberg High School in Heidelberg, Mississippi, and later attended Barton County Community College in Great Bend, Kansas. He married Harriet Yeoman on January 17, 1976.

He served in the United States Army and later retired after twenty years. He worked for the Veterans Administration Hospital for 15 years, and retired in 2012. He was a member of Corinth Missionary Baptist Church, and served in the Video and Sound Ministry. He was a member of the King David Lodge #333, of Temple, Texas. He was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter, Queen Esther Chapter #132, Temple, Texas, where he served as Jr. Warden.

Survivors are: his wife, Harriet L. Hogan of Temple; a son, Willie Howard Hogan Jr. of Kentucky; daughters, LaMyra Hogan-Satcher of Beaumont, and Kimberly Watson of Temple; sisters, Gracie Mae Triplet of Shelbyille, Kentucky, Ruby Hogan of Heidelberg, Mississippi,and Peggy Sue Jones of Quitman, Mississippi; five grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
