Nancy's adorable parents, James A. and Rosella Lawing Van Pelt and her beloved sisters, Tommie V. Brown and Ann V. Miller are already enjoying their heavenly life, and now are enjoying their cherished reunion with Nancy. Nancy's mother 'Rose' was the "love" of Nancy's earthly life.

The following family members remain to remember and cherish the memories of their very close attachment to Nancy: her brother, Jim Van Pelt and sister-in-law, Sandra Van Pelt; nephew, Greg Van Pelt and wife Leigh; niece, Holly Hite and husband Danny; niece, Tammy Oakley and husband Doug; niece, Melanie James and her husband, Robert; niece, Kellie Pope and husband Jeff; niece, Dawn Denning and husband Carsie; nephew, Tim Brown; niece, Christy Gates; niece, Ashlee Hartman and husband Fred. Nancy considered her nieces and nephews as her "children" and additionally she considered the remaining (20) great nieces and nephews as they were born as her "grandchildren".

Nancy was adored by her immediate and extended families; her many friends, especially the "6 Girls of the 60's"; and her beloved church family at her lifelong church, First Baptist Church of Cramerton. Nancy faithfully served her precious God and church family. She served as a Sunday School teacher, Mission Friend Leader, a very dedicated Homebound Ministry Team Member; and a devoted member of the Finance Committee. Nancy was most kind, very generous and was applauded by her family and friends for her gifted "business savvy". Nancy was the Corporate Benefits Manager for Performance Contracting Group, nationally and internationally, for in excess of 25 years, retiring in 2010. Nancy was a generous helper and assisted all with much dedication regardless of the matter. We will miss Nancy tremendously; however we will always have her earthly life legacy and will always celebrate her heavenly life.

Celebration of Life Service:First Baptist Church of Cramerton, 235 8th Avenue, Cramerton, NC 28032 with the Reverend Sammy Oxendine officiating.

Interment:Gaston Memorial Park, Luke I section.
