ATLANTA, Ga. The Rev. Robert Ashlin White Jr., husband of Virginia Neville White, died July 14, 1996, in Atlanta. He was the son of the late Robert A. and Anne Pleasants White.

He bad served as director of Christian Education at North Avenue Presbyterian Church' in Atlanta. He served as associate pastor at First Presbyterian Church in Winston-Salem, N.C, Peach tree Presbyterian Church in Atlanta and Shandon Presbyterian Church in Columbia. - ;

Surviving, in addition to bis wife of the home, are three sons, Dr. Robert A. White HI of Charleston, S.C, William Dinimock White of Chapel Hill N.C.;. and the Rev. John Hopkins White of Greenwood, S.C; a daughter, Cary White Hayllar of Newnan, Ga.;, a sister, Anne Pleasants White of Charlotte, N.C.; and.' eight grandchildren.
