. Carolyn Ruth Stephens Oliver, age 73, of Sparta, passed away Tuesday morning February 6, 2018 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville.
Ms. Oliver was born January 28, 1945 to Edmonda Young Stephens and the late Howard Stephens in the Indian Mound community. Carolyn enjoyed her profession as a beautician, as well as crossword puzzles, game shows and court tv. In addition to her father, she is also preceded in death by her brother-in-law, BK Luna. Her surviving family includes

Daughter: Julie Jolyn Walker of Sparta, TN
Granddaughters: Brittani Randolph β’ Abby Oliver β’ Emma Grace Oliver β’ Maddie Grace Bailey β’ Molly Walker

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00pm Thursday, February 8, 2018 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Indian Mound Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5-8:00pm at Hunter Funeral Home. Brother David Frazier and Brother Frank Randolph will conduct the service with music performed by the Patterson Family.
Stephen Luna, John C. Ward, Mark Young, Jeff Young, Jack Kyle Franklin and Ricky Young will serve as pallbearers. Nike Hallums, Levoy Knowles, JohnJohn Cloyd, Daniel Winnett, Joey Cloyd, Joe Hallums, Matt Davis, Michael Davis and Randy Todd will serve as honorary pallbearers.
