Danial Lubus shuffled from this mortal coil on January 13th, 2018 after a brief battle with cancer. Dan was born on May 7, 1957 to the late Margaret & Ervin Lubus in Oconto WI.

After high school, he served in the Army from 1974 until his honorable discharge in 1976.

On September 29, 1979 he was united in marriage to Donna Lade, and they spent the last 39 years building a beautiful life together.

In 1980 he joined the Local 19 & 127 working as an Industrial Insulator; he had the distinction of being the local's first organizer, a position he held until shortly before his retirement in 2013. Dan was very active in his local and built many friendships in his years on job sites, and was well known throughout the trade for his humor and hard work.

Dan had a love of cars and people, and some of the best times were spent in his garage with both. He always had a cold beer and a laugh ready to share, and many nights were spent in the garage with music blasting from the speakers. Dan's skill with restoring hot rods was legendary. Every car that came out of his garage was done with pride and meticulous detail. He greeted everyone warmly with a twinkle in his eye and was known to pull a few legs with his jokes.

Dan is survived by his loving family:
wife Donna;
daughter Danielle (Pete O'Connor) Lubus, Oconto, WI;
son Dustin Lubus, Oconto, WI;
granddaughters: Adilyn Lubus & Marni Monfort;
brother Roger Lubus;
brother-in-law Dan Zachek;
many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Margaret & Ervin Lubus; sisters Audrey Wegner , Elaine Smith, Bernice Schwalbe, Carol Zachek ; brothers-in-law Eddie Wagner and Gary Schwalbe.
