"Stubby" as he was affectionately known was a native of Lafayette and a resident of Scott. He is the son of the late Gary Williamson and the former Karen Sides. Christopher was a graduate of Lafayette High School where he excelled in football, he went on to receive his Associate Degree from SLCC and his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from ULL. Stubby was a bartender at City Bar for 11 years while he earned his degrees and grew to know many people from the Acadiana area. His great sense of humor, quick wit, and infectious smile earned him a special place in the hearts of many. He was a devoted father and friend and he will be missed by many.
He is survived by his daughter, Lillian Williamson; mother, Karen Leigh Sides; brother, Robert Williamson and wife Skye; nephews, Jeffrey, Preston, and Benjamin Williamson; uncle, Jeffrey Sides and wife Janice; cousins, Michael and Alex Sides; and numerous friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Neal Williamson; and maternal grandparents, King James Sides Jr. and Beth Sides.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Monday, July 3, 2017 from 10:00AM to 7:00PM. A gathering of family and friends will follow the funeral service at City Bar- Maurice to remember Christopher.
