Ufrendo “Guggie Jaramillo Jr., age 61, a resident of Anton Chico, NM, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018 went to the arms of the Lord with peace and grace to be beside his loved ones.
Ufrendo was born to his parents José Ufrendo Jaramillo and Emilia J. Ortega Jaramillo on April 11, 1956 in Anton Chico, NM.
A Catholic, and was a member of the St. Joseph Church in Anton Chico, NM.
In loving memory of a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cowboy, hero and a loving friend.
Ufrendo Jaramillo Jr. also known as Guggie has gone to his resting place with the Lord. Guggie worked for the New Mexico Department of Transportation and was a HMW Advanced Maintenance Worker and then retired after twenty-five years.
Ufrendo was known for his many talents, carpentry, hunting, exceptional gardening, farming and jack of trades. Ufrendo was the type of person that was always giving, caring and put everyone’s needs before his own. Ufrendo helped lots of family and friends build and remodel homes. Ufrendo was always the life of the party/gathering. Ufrendo loved people and all children and never expected nothing in return. Guggie was a family man who always put his children and wife first. His wife, his children and the grandchildren will miss him dearly.
Guggie was a teacher and a role model to his family and we will try and keep his memory alive as he is gone but will never be forgotten. His spirit will remain alive within us all.
Ufrendo was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Margarito Jaramillo, sister, Patsy Sánchez and brother, Benjamin Jaramillo.
Ufrendo is survived by his loving wife, Josephine Ann Jaramillo of the family home in Anton Chico, NM, sons and daughters, Stoney Jaramillo and his companions, Ruby and Heather all of Anton Chico, NM, Emily B. Jaramillo and her companion, Daniel Jaramillo of Anton Chico, NM, Tracy Jaramillo and her companion, Alan Gallegos of Anton Chico, NM, Ufrendo “Jody” Jaramillo III and his wife, Ashley of Anton Chico, NM, grandchildren, Harlee, Alayna, Legend, Dakota, Montana, Lariana, Myra and Amaya, sisters and brother, Berna Padilla of Las Vegas, NM, Ralph Jaramillo and his companion, Melissa García of las Vegas, NM, Becky Jaramillo and her companion, Felix Saiz of Anton Chico, NM, godchildren, Jimmy Jaramillo, Darla Luján, Amos Lucero, Margarito Jaramillo, Stephanie Lucero, Kimberly Villanueva, Sergio Abila, Dakota Garcia and Jacinto Paiz, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Yolanda Tenorio and her husband, Juan, Patsy Benina and her husband, Joe, Sammy Lucero, Margie Chávez and her husband, Billy, Louis Lucero and his wife, Mary, Alice Wagner and her husband, Hermut and Connie Abila and her companion, Mike and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives co-workers and many friends.
Rosary service will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with both services at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Anton Chico, NM with Father Antonio Mondragón as celebrant. Interment will follow at the upper Anton Chico Cemetery with the following serving as casket bearers, Leroy Sandoval, Junior Tenorio, Ernie Velásquez, Transito Sánchez, Max Velásquez, Juan Jaramillo, Martin Ortega, Benny Sánchez, Robert Lucero, Cody Jaramillo, Lino Paiz and Gregory Sánchez. Serving as honorary bearers will be all of his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, co-workers and loved ones.
