Hewitt - Roger C. Daniels Sr., age 79, of Hewitt, Wisconsin, passed away early Thursday afternoon, February 1, 2018 at the House of the Dove in Marshfield, Wisconsin. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, 1010 East Veterans Parkway in Marshfield, WI. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:30 - 11:00 am. Burial will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Marshfield.
Roger was born March 29th, 1938, son of Fred and Florence (Bagge) Daniels in the town of Earl, Wisconsin. On October 15th, 1960 he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Shirley Schlotthauer, in Neillsville, Wisconsin.
his spare time he enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, and making others laugh. He especially enjoyed restoring old cars. His attention to detail and craftsmanship caught the eye of many a judge on the antique car circuit in which he took home hundreds of trophies. Those that knew Roger best will miss his quiet demeanor, his ice cream runs and his joy in helping others.
Roger is lovingly survived by his wife Shirley of 57 years: three children Roger (Susan) Daniels Jr; Vicki (Gary) Kohlbeck; and Lori Daniels (Mark Johnson). Four Grandchildren Ashley (Steven) Hies; Makala Kohlbeck; Matthew Daniels; Kerenna Kohlbeck and one Great Grandchild, Mara Hies. He is survived by one brother Vernon Daniels and three sisters Francis (Jim) Phillips, Betty (Leroy) Redetzke, and Sharon (Rick) Christner. Roger was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Florence Daniels; as well as siblings; Norman Daniels; Leonard Daniels Sr; and Linda Daniels.
