Ella Mae Evans, 87, of Londonderry, died 10:45 a.m. Friday, February 2, 2018 at her daughter’s residence following an extended illness.

She was born August 6, 1930, in Ashland, Kentucky, to the late Tase E. and Ellen F. Dennis O’Neal. On December 23, 1950, she married Jack G. Evans, her husband of 40 years, who died September 10, 1990.

Surviving are four children; ten grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; a great great granddaughter to arrive in May; a nephew; two nieces; several great nieces and great nephews; and a brother-in-law, of Chillicothe. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Stephanie Evans; a sister, Janet Finley and a brother, Bill “Jeater” O’Neal.

Ella attended the Richmond Dale Church of God. She retired from Wear-Ever and was a foster parent for over 25 years.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, February 8, 2018 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Rev. John Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 12 noon until the time of the service on Thursday.
